Samantha Lockwood

Director of Operations of SAGE, Service to Achieve Growth and Empower, is a graduate from California Lutheran University, where she earned a B.A. in psychology and an Executive MBA. Samantha has worked for over 18 years with people with developmental disabilities. In 2003, Samantha began working in the mental health field at the Southern Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled. Samantha moved from Wisconsin to California in 2005, where she worked for supported living services throughout Ventura County. Samantha transitioned to SAGE in 2007, where she has held positions as Community Coach, Community Mentor, Senior Community Mentor, Supervisor, Manager, and currently as Director of Operations. Since 2009, Samantha has worked as a certified Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) instructor for SAGE. Samantha also serves as the Vice President for the non-profit agency, The Santa Effect, is involved in the Oxnard Community of Practice Committee, and is currently a Person Centered Trainer candidate. Samantha is passionate about animals, being creative, and traveling.
